Homemade laundry scent booster
Making your own homemade laundry scent booster is a practical and perfect addition to your laundry cabinet. I like using this recipe to naturally brighten whites, eliminate strong odors, or add a light scent to clothes or towels. The best part is that it contains simple ingredients and is easy to make, you will need this in your house at all times!
Equipment
- 1 glass jar
Ingredients
- 1 cup washing soda
- 1 cup baking soda
- 15-20 drops essential oils (see above for custom scents)
Instructions
- Mix 1 cup of washing soda and 1 cup of baking soda.
- Next, add 15-20 drops of essential oils and mix again. (See above for essential oils and blend inspiration.)
- Pour into a glass jar and store in your laundry room.
Notes
If you like a stronger scent, you can add 5-10 additional drops of essential oils to the booster.
When using, add up to a 1/4 cup per load of laundry. Add directly to the laundry basin and then drop in clothes, towels or bedding on top.
