This homemade lip scrub that uses essential oils is so amazing for dry, chapped lips, especially during the winter months. I hope you have the same results when taking care of your lips with your new lip scrub.
First step, measure out 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and whisk for 1-2 minutes. After whisking the coconut oil, it should be smooth and slightly fluffy. SEE NOTES FOR TIPS.
Next step, combine coconut oil with 1 tablespoon of granulated white sugar. Gently stir the two ingredients together.
Then, add 6-9 drops of essential oils to the coconut oil and sugar combination. For my personal recipe, I use 3 drops of lavender, 3 drops of vanilla, and 3 drops of peppermint. Stir to combine.
Last step, add the mixture to a glass container to store for up to 6 months.
Notes
If your coconut oil is too hard, then you can slightly soften in your microwave for 3-5 second increments. If your coconut oil is too soft, then you can put in in your refrigerator for 5 minutes at a time until it hardens back up.
