  • whisk

Ingredients

Instructions

  • If you are using boiled water, then you will want to do that first so it can start to cool right away. You can boil your 2 ounces water on the stovetop or microwave the water in a glass measuring cup.
  • Measure out 2 teaspoons of conditioner to the glass bowl. Add 1 1/2 oz. of distilled water or boiled & cooled water to the glass bowl and whisk.
  • Pour 3 drops of lavender essential oil and 3 drops of peppermint essential oil to the mixture. Whisk.
  • Put the small funnel on the glass spray bottle. Pour the detangler spray into the funnel, pausing if the mixture needs a few seconds to go into the spray bottle. You may also need to slightly lift the funnel, depending on the neck of your glass bottle.
  • Lastly, tighten the nozzle of the glass spray bottle and you are ready to use the kids detangler spray!

Notes

I typically boil about twice as much water as I need, just in case something happens or I decide to make an extra bottle later! The recipe does only call for 1 1/2 ounces of water. To help the boiled water cool faster, you can place it in the fridge or freezer while you measure out the other ingredients.
You are looking for a mixture that is not too thick and not too thin, kind of like the perfect batch of pancakes. Go ahead and add a little more conditioner if it's too thin. If it's too thick, then add a little more water.
