kids detangler spray diy
Making a diy kids detangler spray is really easy to make at home. It's also so good for smoothing out hair that is full of tangles. This recipe uses a few good quality, natural ingredients that your kiddo is going to love using.
2 oz glass spray bottle
glass bowl
glass measuring cup
small funnel
teaspoon
whisk
If you are using boiled water, then you will want to do that first so it can start to cool right away. You can boil your 2 ounces water on the stovetop or microwave the water in a glass measuring cup.
Measure out 2 teaspoons of conditioner to the glass bowl. Add 1 1/2 oz. of distilled water or boiled & cooled water to the glass bowl and whisk.
Pour 3 drops of lavender essential oil and 3 drops of peppermint essential oil to the mixture. Whisk.
Put the small funnel on the glass spray bottle. Pour the detangler spray into the funnel, pausing if the mixture needs a few seconds to go into the spray bottle. You may also need to slightly lift the funnel, depending on the neck of your glass bottle.
Lastly, tighten the nozzle of the glass spray bottle and you are ready to use the kids detangler spray!
I typically boil about twice as much water as I need, just in case something happens or I decide to make an extra bottle later! The recipe does only call for 1 1/2 ounces of water. To help the boiled water cool faster, you can place it in the fridge or freezer while you measure out the other ingredients.
You are looking for a mixture that is not too thick and not too thin, kind of like the perfect batch of pancakes. Go ahead and add a little more conditioner if it's too thin. If it's too thick, then add a little more water.
