This is the whipped melt and pour soap recipe you have been looking for. Well, that is if you have been looking for a whipped soap recipe. If not, then this is the recipe that you weren’t looking for but strongly need in your life.
Whipped soap is a fluffy and creamy soap that’s great for cleansing your skin! It’s great to use as a body wash or face wash, giving you a gentle and luxurious feel. Plus, it often has moisturizing ingredients, perfect for dry or sensitive skin. Some even use it as shaving cream because of its rich lather and smooth texture. So, if you want a playful way to pamper yourself, whipped soap is the way to go!
Natural Ingredients
Goat’s Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base
Using a goat’s milk melt-and-pour soap base will give you incredible results. Goat milk soap is a gentle cleanser with vitamin A (anti-aging properties) and other minerals for healthy skin. It’s also a great soap for dry skin and itchy skin since it’s higher in essential fatty acids and can help increase the skin’s moisture.
Fractionated Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a great ingredient for the skin as it smoothes the skin while providing a natural skin barrier, protecting the skin from anything else. Although it doesn’t provide a whole lot of moisture, coconut oil has both antibacterial and moisturizing properties.
You can substitute sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, or sunflower oil for fractionated coconut oil. Just be sure you add in a carrier oil, otherwise, the soap will be too firm.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel is soothing, refreshing, and gentle enough for even the tenderness of the skin. Make sure to look for an aloe vera gel that contains simple ingredients and is free of dyes.
Essential Oils
Essential oils add a wonderful scent to your natural goat milk soap. The possibilities are endless when it comes to which essential oils to use for your bar of soap. Some of my favorite essential oil blends are included after the recipe so you can choose the blend you enjoy!
Supplies Needed:
Here are the supplies needed to make this whipped melt and pour soap. This makes one 8 oz jar of whipped soap, but you can always double the recipe if you want to make a larger batch. Let’s get into making your own soap!
- 1 cup of goats milk melt and pour soap base
- 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil
- 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
- 40-50 drops of essential oils
- glass mason jar
- glass measuring cup or large glass bowl
- double boiler or large saucepan
- wooden spoon
- hand mixer
Easy Whipped Soap Recipe
This easy recipe has a few steps, but I promise they are all simple even if it does take a little time. All that time and effort will be 1000% worth it for this gorgeous soap!
Step one: Chop up 1 cup of goat’s milk melt and pour the soap base into similar-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches in size. This will make it easier to melt and stir the soap.
Step two: Place the pieces of melt and pour soap into a double boiler on your stovetop. Heat the water to a gentle boil, using the wooden spoon to stir the soap pieces after they melt. Turn the stovetop down to low heat once the water starts boiling.
If you don’t have a double boiler, then you can do what I did and use a large saucepan with water halfway up the side while placing a 2-cup glass measuring cup inside. The measuring cup works well, making pouring into the molds much easier.
Step three: Continue stirring the soap until smooth and no pieces are left. Once that happens, remove the double boiler or glass measuring cup from the stovetop and dry off the bottom. It will be hot, so make sure to have towels and pot holders nearby. Turn off the stove.
Step four: Then add 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil, and 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel to the now 1/2 cup of melted soap base. Next, add the 40-50 drops of essential oils. See below for lots of amazing scent combinations.
Step five: Place the glass measuring cup in the fridge for 5 minutes to cool the soap mixture. Remove from the fridge and begin whipping the mixture with an electric hand mixer slowly, working your way up to a medium-high speed. When the mixture is thickening up, mix for 30-second bursts and check the soap. You are looking for a light and fluffy consistency. If you prefer your soap to be softer and lighter, then whip for a shorter amount of time. However, if you prefer your soap to be firmed then continue whipping the soap longer until you get stiff peaks.
Be careful to not overmix. It’s better to stop mixing a little early and transfer the final product quickly to your storage container.
Step six: Once you have your finished soap, add it into a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
This is an optional step, but some people like their whipped soap to have a whimsical feel. For this look, you can use a piping bag and pipe the soap into your glass jar. Start at the bottom outside of the jar working your way towards the center in a circular motion.

How to Use & Store Your Homemade Soap
To use whipped soap, always start with a small amount and place it in your hands. Start to work the soap with warm water and apply it to a washcloth or silicone body scrubber. The soap may not sud as much as traditional soaps, but it should still get your skin just as clean. If you are using this as shaving soap, then apply it to areas of your body that need shaving just as traditional shaving cream.
Storing your homemade whipped soap in a glass container with a tight-fitting lid is the best way to store it properly. Also, the glass will keep the cream soap from absorbing anything from other materials. Plus, using glass containers when using essential oils in your recipes is always a good idea. Store it at room temperature and in a dry place in an area of your home, making sure to avoid direct sunlight or warm places. I would recommend not storing it in the shower, as this could cause rust to form on the lid or humidity to cause bacteria.
The whipped soap has a long shelf life of around 6-10 months after making it.

Hi! I’m trying g to find. Melt and pour recipe for whipped soap that will harden to put on loaf molds. Can you help?
-
Hi – This recipe will harden in molds. It is lighter and fluffier than traditional melt and pour recipes, but it still hardens enough. You could reduce the aloe vera to 3 tablespoons to help with this, but be careful of this soap hardening quickly while mixing.
